Warranty service for goods

The warranty period is 12 months and begins on the day of transfer/delivery of the goods to the buyer (for goods intended for home use).
These General Rules for Warranty Service (hereinafter referred to as the Rules) regulate the terms of warranty service for goods sold by SIA “Prooftools”.
24 months applies to goods sold by SIA “Prooftools”. warranty period, from the day of delivery of the goods to the buyer. The warranty period is specified in the Warranty Card, which is given to the buyer along with the purchase documents. The warranty card may also specify a longer warranty period set by the manufacturer of the product. In such cases, the longer warranty period determined by the manufacturer applies.
These Rules do not limit the rights of users, but only determine the time frame for correction.
The product quality guarantee is valid only if it is established that the product defect arose during the manufacturing process.
After accepting the product for warranty service, SIA “Prooftools” undertakes to provide the buyer with a report on the defect no later than 14 calendar days after delivery of the product to SIA “Prooftools” at the address: Jupatovkas 1/1, Rēzekne, Latvija LV-4601
During the established product quality warranty period, SIA “Prooftools” undertakes to eliminate manufacturing defects of the product free of charge, no later than within 30 working days from the date of detection of the product defect. This period may be extended if spare parts are required to repair the product that are not available from SIA “Prooftools” and they need to be loaded from abroad.
During the warranty period, the buyer is obliged to keep all accessories of the product.
When handing over the product for warranty repair, the buyer must provide a document confirming the purchase of the product and a warranty card for the product. Note: the document confirming the purchase of the product (VAT invoice, cash receipt) corresponds to the function of the warranty card for the product.

The warranty obligations are invalid if:

The product is not used for its intended purpose (without observing the requirements specified in the instructions for use of the product);
The product has been used;
The device is damaged mechanically, thermally, chemically or otherwise;
Due to accidents that occurred during transportation and loading or unloading of the product, if the product is damaged;
The product is damaged as a result of an accident or carelessness (for example: breaking the glass of the product or scratching the profile with a sharp object);
The product is used in extreme conditions for the product;
The identified defects are caused by the use of non-standard materials or spare parts;
The product was incorrectly connected to the power source or damaged due to excessively high voltage pulses in the electrical network during electrical installation work at substations, distribution facilities, etc.;
The warranty obligations do not apply to attachments, accessories, parts and units of the product that have a limited service life.
SIA “Prooftools” does not issue spare equipment to customers for the period before the warranty repair of the product.
If the equipment/tool ​​malfunction is recognized as a warranty one, the buyer has the right to:
Demand that the product defects be eliminated (repair the product);
Replace the product of inadequate quality with a product of adequate quality;
Reduce the price of the product;
Return the product to SIA “Prooftools” and demand a refund of the money paid for the product (purchase price), presenting the purchase documents (VAT invoice – invoice, cash receipt, cash receipt)
The buyer undertakes to deliver the defective product to SIA “Prooftools” by their own transport. The buyer also undertakes to attach to the defective product an act in the form established by the seller, in which the defect is precisely indicated.
In exceptional cases, if due to the volume (size, weight) of the goods the goods cannot be delivered to SIA “Prooftools” and an employee of SIA “Prooftools” goes to inspect the goods at the address specified by the buyer, then upon arrival at the address specified by the buyer on call due to a malfunction of the goods and without identifying a warranty defect, the buyer undertakes to reimburse the costs of the arrival of an employee of SIA “Prooftools” to the place of call.
