Description

Designed for installing and adjusting the timing phases of both classic 6-cylinder engines without the VANOS system and engines with a double VANOS system.

This type of engine is a modification of BMW M42, M44, M50, M52, M52TU, M54, M56. The tool kit is equipped with a special clamp, which is used to fix the camshafts, as well as a special template for installing the phase regulators of the VANOS and DOUBLE VANOS systems. *For adjusting the Double VANOS valve timing system on 6-cylinder BMW engines manufactured after 1998.
For models: BMW with a 6-cylinder engine: M52TU (1998-2000), M54 (2001-2004), M56 (after 2003).

Equipment

Adjusting plate: 116150, used to adjust the valve timing on engines with a double VANOS system. This system was used on engines of the modification: BMW M52TU, M54, M56.

Mechanical device: 116180, used for preliminary installation of the secondary chain sprocket with the chain on the camshafts.

Chain tensioner: 114220, used to tension the primary chain when adjusting the valve timing.

Compressed air source connection element: 113450, used to check the functioning of the VANOS actuator.

Chain tensioner plunger lock: 113292.
